Blake Corum FINALLY hits 100

Blake Corum tied a Michigan football record last week with five rushing touchdowns. But so far this season, he hasn’t had a 100-yard game on the ground.

To be fair, Corum also hasn’t received more than 13 carries in a single game. He’s gotten at least 71 yards in all three games and is averaging 6.9 yards per attempt. Michigan has just been blowing people out and honestly, calling some vanilla stuff in the run game.

That’s going to change this week. Jim Harbaugh is going to want to get the confidence built back up in the offensive line and the Terps are decent against the run but gave up over 150 to SMU last week and more than four yards per attempt to the Mustangs’ starter.

With Edwards banged up, it’s likely Corum gets 20 carries against Maryland. It’s Big Ten play and it’s time to unleash him and some of the big counter runs that he was so good at last season.

I’m predicting Corum finally gets over 100 yards and he also scores a couple more rushing touchdowns for good measure.
