2. Cade McNamara should not play anymore unless desperately needed

This is an obvious overreaction that has no merit to it whatsoever. After all McNamara was voted captain for a reason by the men who know him the best. He is a Big Ten champion who beat Ohio State and with the help of his teammates and coaches tied for the most wins in school history at 12 just a year ago.

He’ll rebound in time because he has the ability to do so. It may not come right away, but he will shine brightly once again. Have to think that he’ll see action in the UConn affair and possibly even the Maryland contest as long as things go accordingly. Until then he just has to wait his turn to hone his skills so he can be prepared to go when his number is called.

As for McCarthy, well his time is now to light up defenses. He’s done that so far and couldn’t have asked or been ready for a better start to the season. He’s one pass away from being at 100% completion percentage and has four total touchdowns compared to no turnovers through two matchups.
