Michigan Football: 3 Keys to Wolverines beating Hawaii

Capitalize on red-zone trips
The biggest issue for Michigan football on offense so far this year?
Not getting in the end-zone from inside the 20-yard line.
Whether this is a play calling issue, a quarterback issue, or an execution issue for the entire offense, something is up.
Michigan stalled out twice in the red zone, ending with two field goals from inside the 20yd line, and another Jake Moody field goal from the 24yd line.
We need to see the Wolverines punch it in the end zone in these golden opportunities.
Hawaii’s defense is even weaker than Colorado State’s that saw 51 points hung on them last week in Ann Arbor.
Utilize the run threat of McCarthy this week when inside the 20. Let it open up the rest of the offense, and with all due respect to arguably the best kicker in the country, we’ve seen enough Jake Moody field goals and not enough Jake Moody extra points.
Not only do the Wolverines need to exorcise their red zone woes for this game, but if they want to repeat as Big Ten champs and return to the playoff, now’s the time to do it.
