Happy Game Week Michigan Football fans! The 2022 football season is finally here and Michigan is ready for its week 1 matchup against Colorado State.

Who are going to be the impact players on Michigan that will secure the win against the Rams?

Running Backs; Donovan Edwards & Blake Corum: Last season, we saw how much of an impact our running backs had on the Michigan football offense. Whether it was Hassan Haskins hurdling over the opponent or Blake Corum weaving around linemen, our run game was impressive.

It will be even more so this year, especially against Colorado State. We saw a glimpse of Donovan Edwards, and even as a freshman, he made Michigan football fans excited. CSU allowed, on average, 4 yards per carry last season, and about 166 rushing yards per game. Let’s not forget who their opponents were either.

Michigan’s offense is miles ahead of any of CSU’s previous opponents.  With Corum and Edward’s speed and agility, they are going to take over this offense on Saturday. Not only are they a run threat, but they also act as receivers as well. Safe to say Colorado State is going to be on their toes all game, and it is going to take a lot to stop not only one but two outstanding running backs.

Ronnie Bell: After a season-ending injury in game 1 against Western Michigan, Ronnie Bell is ready to have his breakout year. Bell has gone through a lot of adversity during his time at Michigan, and he is ready for this year to be his year. Last year, his one catch was for 76 yards, which ended up being a touchdown. Ronnie Bell will be the top WR this year, especially to make up for his previous seasons. He has a lot to prove, and he is ready to show out. Don’t be surprised if we see another one of those deep balls this weekend against CSU.

Cade McNamara: With the QB competition between Cade McNamara and J.J. McCarthy in full swing, Cade is ready to prove to Michigan football fans, the team, as well as coaches that he is the guy for the job. I

n this game, Cade is going to show off his arm strength and take advantage of the Colorado State defense. Last season, Cade threw for 2,576 yards with 15 TDs and 6 interceptions. The same thing goes for the passing game as the run game, their previous opponents are not of the same caliber as Michigan. So we should expect Cade McNamara to take full advantage of that, especially when his starting job is on the line.

DJ Turner: I am predicting DB, DJ Turner to have a standout game against Colorado State. We saw his elite athleticism against OSU back in November, defending some of the best wide receivers in the country. If he performs anything like he did last season, Colorado State will not be able to get anything going… Especially if Turner is defending them.
