The offensive line is going to be unreal

Lots of people are excited about Michigan football’s running back and rightfully so. Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards are going to be one of the elite tandems in all of college football.

But the Wolverines are going to miss Hassan Haskins. He was incredible in terms of creating yards after contact, and he was especially good in short-yardage situations.

One thing that will help in those situations this year is having a dominant offensive line and it looks dominant so far which is detailed by The Wolverine here (subscription required). Michigan had that last season, but this year’s group is going to be even better.

Yes, I know the Wolverines won the Joe Moore Award last year. But Zak Zinter has added weight and looks ready to play in the NFL right now. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Zinter has first-round pick written all over him.

Ryan Hayes is right there and so is center Victor Oluwatimi. Offensive centers aren’t sexy but he’s going to be one of the most impactful transfer portal additions in the country.

You add Trevor Keegan to the mix, Trente Jones, Karsen Barnhart, and others such as Greg Crippen, Jeffrey Persi, and Giovanni El-Hadi have all earned praise too, and frankly, Michigan football’s second backup five is probably better than most starting units in the Big Ten.
