There are a bunch of former Michigan basketball players taking part in the NBA Summer League and here’s how you can follow along.

Now that the 2022 NBA Draft is officially in the books, we now can turn our attention to the next exciting event on the NBA calendar: the Las Vegas Summer League, which begins tomorrow.

The NBA Summer League is a chance for former NBA journeymen to make their way back onto a roster after previously playing overseas, a chance for international players to showcase their skills in hopes of making a roster, and a chance for undrafted players to make their case of getting a two-way contract that could eventually lead into a standard contract, as well as a chance for former drafted players locked into NBA rotations that just need the practice and reps to build their stamina back up for the start of the next season.

NBA scouts, NBA GMs, and even international scouts and GMs will be in attendance at the 2022 NBA Las Vegas Summer League, which runs from July 7th-July 17th.

Yes, technically there are a few other smaller summer leagues that run prior to the start of the Las Vegas Summer League, like the California and Utah Summer Leagues, but Las Vegas is the biggest one.

Every NBA team competes in Las Vegas, while only a few teams compete in the other smaller leagues.

With all of that being said, there are currently eight former Michigan Wolverines basketball players on NBA rosters that will see Summer League playing time: DeVante Jones (Denver Nuggets), Moussa Diabate (Los Angeles Clippers), Zavier Simpson (Orlando Magic), Caleb Houstan (Orlando Magic), Isaiah Livers (Detroit Pistons), Eli Brooks (Indiana Pacers), DJ Wilson (Toronto Raptors), and Chaundee Brown Jr. (Atlanta Hawks).

It’s not the best quality of basketball, but it is basketball (with barely any other sports on right now), so sit back, relax, and enjoy some former Wolverines go to work.

Here is the complete list of game times and channel information for all the former Wolverines.

Side note: Every NBA team gets a guaranteed five total games (four regular, and one playoff game), and there is potential for more than five games depending on what teams advance on their way to the Summer League championship.

Second side note: Franz Wagner might play in a game or two depending on what the Magic decide, but it’s not guaranteed. Be on the lookout for that as well.
