Michigan football should be landing multiple commitments on July 1st and we break down where things stand with each recruit ready to announce.

Friday is going to be an interesting day for Michigan football recruiting as the Wolverines’ “transformational, not transactional” approach will be tested.

Michigan football is likely going to receive some good news as three-star and top-500 wideout Fredrick Moore out of St. Louis seems set to commit to the Wolverines. His track speeds aren’t blazing but he plays fast on film and I believe him to be underrated by the recruiting services.

All of the expert projections are going Michigan’s way for the 6-foot, 170-pound wideout and this should be a U-M commitment.

Michigan football is also trending for the commitment of Semaj Bridgeman, a four-star linebacker who announced he would be committing on Friday too. He’s ranked No. 305 nationally in the 247 sports composite rankings and is 6-foot-2, 230 pounds out of Philly.

Numerous experts from all of the recruiting sites have projected Bridgeman to the Wolverines and he would be a solid pickup and a nice rebound from Raylen Wilson, even though he isn’t on that level.

Other big decisions for Michigan football on Friday

Jaxon Howard, a top-100 defensive end is also announcing his decision on Friday and while there was hope it would be Michigan, the expert picks are trending towards LSU. The Tigers also have an 88 percent chance of winning his commitment according to the On3 prediction machine.

Enow Etta is also set to decide soon but he’s not committing tomorrow. Collins Acheampong is also set to decide tomorrow and it’s down to Michigan and Miami.

The Wolverines have a lot to offer the edge rusher originally from Ghana especially after they developed David Ojabo into a high draft pick. He also values education but Miami is coming after him hard and they are dominating in the NIL arena.

So it will be a perfect test of Michigan’s philosophy. The problem is that Miami head coach Mario Cristobal has also sent a bunch of D-lineman to the NFL. Michigan was the clear leader after its visit and this is a recruitment it really needs to win for momentum purposes.

However, Steve Lorenz of The Michigan Insider dropped the confidence of his crystal ball. He still has it on Michigan but the confidence is dropping.
