The majority of Michigan football’s 2022 recruiting class is already on campus but here are three arriving in the summer that can make an early impact.

It’s still very early, but so far, the returns are very good when it comes to Michigan football’s 2022 recruiting class.

Will Johnson, Darrius Clemons, Derrick Moore, Keon Sabb, Amorion Walker, and others stood out during Michigan football’s spring practices and those are just the guys that enrolled early.

When we talk about needs that Michigan football has going into the fall, one thing we are forgetting is that U-M will be getting some reinforcements in the way of freshmen and while not many make a huge impact in their first year, it does happen.

And as far as Michigan football is concerned, here are three summer enrollees who could push for some playing time right away.

LB, Jimmy Rolder

Rolder is one of my favorite commitments of the 2022 class for the Wolverines. He was going to play baseball and then when he turned his interest to football, his recruitment took off with basically every Big Ten program in the mix.

He’s listed by 247 sports as 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, and looks ready to play college football right away. Michigan could also use another effective player at linebacker.

The Wolverines have a pair of quality starters in Junior Colson and Nikhai Hill-Green but U-M had veterans last year like Josh Ross, which didn’t prevent Colson from emerging.

Michael Barrett is another inside linebacker that will see snaps, plus Kalel Mullings and Jaydon Hood are there too, but with the ease that you can transition at linebacker most of the time, Rolder could work his way into the mix on defense or at least special teams.
