The Los Angeles Lakers are a mess right now

Next, have you seen the Lakers right now?! The team is in shambles right now, as the team missed the playoffs completely (even the play-in) despite 37-year old LeBron James averaging over 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. If you can’t even make the play-in with this level of production from a player, you have a real problem.

The Lakers have too many old veterans on their team that are past their primes, or that just don’t mesh well with LeBron James and it has caused some huge chemistry issues internally.

LeBron deserves a lot of the blame, as he put pressure on the Lakers front office to make moves, but in doing so, the team pretty much gave up any trade assets they had and are now stuck in no-man’s land.

So, why would Howard want to go coach a team like the Lakers right now? Just because Juwan played with LeBron James on the Heat at the end of his playing career, and coached him as an assistant for a few years doesn’t mean that Juwan is interested in coaching the Lakers.

Juwan Howard is a smart guy, as all of us know, and he can see the situation in Los Angeles. He knows that that isn’t an ideal situation for him, as even though the stars are brighter in LA, the leash is shorter.

You better perform, or you get booted. Frank Vogel, who won a championship only a few years ago, has had to learn that the hard way.

Oh yeah, also, when Lebron isn’t happy, something has to happen to make him happy. Everybody else is just a puppet, as LeBron pulls the strings, for better or for worse.
