Juwan Howard’s son is an incoming recruit in the 2022 class

Why would Juwan Howard ever want to leave Michigan basketball when he has a chance to coach his other son Jett, who is an incoming recruit in the class of 2022? Jett will be the second son on the team, as Juwan’s older son, Jace, is also on the team as well.

If you followed Jett Howard’s recruitment process at all, then you would know that his commitment to Michigan took a lot longer than expected, and, supposedly, it came down to the wire, with Tennessee leading for all of one week, the very last week of Jett’s recruitment, and that’s when things flipped Michigan’s way.

Juwan Howard had to earn Jett’s commitment (his own son) so why would he all-of-a-sudden just change his mind and just leave both of his sons to fend for themselves not knowing their next coach? That doesn’t make any sense, especially when Jett hasn’t even gotten a chance to play in the system yet, and be coached up by his dad.

This would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Juwan to coach both of his sons at the same time, and he would be able to spend more quality time with them and would personally be able to coach them up and watch them grow, mature, and become better adults and better basketball players. You don’t get that chance too often in life if you are a head coach.

All of this doesn’t even mention the fact that Jett Howard and Jace Howard are literally blood-related to Juwan. I’m sure they’d be the first to know if Juwan Howard had a change of heart and wanted to leave. So far, that hasn’t happened (and I don’t think it will) and Jace Howard continuously scoffs at annual “reports” of Juwan’s potential departure on Twitter.

If relatives are not buying what reports are selling, then why should any Michigan fan or media member? I’m sure Jett and Jace ask Juwan about it all of the time, and he tells them no every time.
