Eight former Wolverines participated in the NFL combine this past week. After Michigan Football struggled in their final game of the 2021 season against the Georgia Bulldogs, the Wolverine draft prospects could benefit from the additional exposure of the combine.

Here is a look at the grades of all of the Michigan football players who participated in the 2022 NFL Combine. Here’s a link to the grading scale.

Aidan Hutchinson-Defensive End | Grade: 6.83

Hutchinson’s NFL draft pick expectancy was already extremely high and did not ride too much on his performance at the combine. However, his dominant performance at the NFL combine can only help his case to be one of the first picks in April.

Aidan ran a 4.74-second 40-yard dash, but his most impressive time was in the three-cone drill. He completed this drill in 6.73 seconds which was the fastest time by any line player. Hutchinson tends to be known for his strength over his speed, so these fast times can help prove to NFL teams that he is more than just muscle.

Hutchinson also participated in both the broad jump and the vertical jump. He jumped 117 inches in the broad jump and 36 inches in the vertical jump, both of which were pretty central numbers among other defensive ends in the combine.

Despite skipping out on the bench press, Hutchinson’s strength has never been a question for prospective teams. Aidan is the Pro Football Focus (PFF)’s number one ranked player on their NFL Draft big board and is set as a top-three pick in most mock drafts.
