2. Caleb Houstan and others need to make shots

When Michigan basketball is knocking down 3-pointers, it is pretty tough to beat, and as important as Hunter Dickinson is, the Wolverines have to shoot better from deep to win this game.

Caleb Houstan got a number of open looks in the first matchup and shot 1-for-8 in New Jersey. That can’t happen again. He’s sure to get some open looks and after a rough stretch, he needs to get going and tonight would be a good time to do it.

Eli Brooks is going to need a big night. Not only will his defense be key but the Wolverines are going to need his scoring. He also shot the ball poorly in the first matchup and so did DeVante Jones.

Kobe Bufkin is going to have to step up and he’s shown growth in recent weeks. This is another big opportunity for him and he needs to deliver because if the Wolverines can’t find a way to make at least six or seven 3-pointers in this game, they aren’t going to win.
