3. This is Michigan’s most prudent win concerning March Madness

Michigan has now won nine straight over the Hoosiers dating back to the 2015-16 campaign. It’s clearly the Wolverines’ biggest win of the season and one that they can put on their resume once March comes along. Indiana wasn’t ranked in the top 25 but would have been if the rankings came out directly after their epic victory over Purdue earlier in the week.

Michigan now sits at ninth in the wild Big Ten standings with a winnable game with Northwestern on the horizon. It’s a chance at its first three-game winning streak of the season and some heavy momentum when traveling to East Lansing in the annual I-96 showdown next Saturday at the Breslin Center.

Michigan still has one of the toughest schedules in the nation with road trips to Michigan State, Purdue, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Ohio State.

On the flip side, they get Ohio State, Rutgers, Illinois, and Iowa at home. This is just the beginning of the stretch, but the Wolverines got off on the right foot when it comes to their postseason dreams.
