Michigan football was throttled in its very first College Football Playoff appearance to Georgia. Losing 34-11. Here are five key plays from the Wolverines’ loss.

It was an ugly game for Jim Harbaugh and company. It seemed as if Jim and the coaching staff were outcoached by the Georgia coaching staff in literally every facet of the game. We can speculate all we want about what we think happened, but the reality is Michigan football was embarrassed.

There were about 50 plays that could be included on this list. Michigan just looked like they were unprepared and not ready for Georgia’s defense, or offense for that matter. These plays five really highlighted how unprepared and unready Michigan was.

5. Opening drive Touchdown

Right off the bat, a game that was labeled to be a low-scoring defensive battle quickly turned into a rout as Georgia walked down the field at will scoring on the opening possession. Georgia set the tone early in the game, proving it was the more dominant team.

At this point in time, while it’s always good to have an optimistic outlook on Michigan, especially early in games, I felt a different type of anxiety than I was used to this season. I knew it was going to be a long game after Georgia pranced down the field.
