Michigan football and Georgia will meet in the Orange Bowl for a berth in the national championship game and here are five predictions for Wolverines and Bulldogs.

The game we have all been waiting for is getting closer. Michigan football and Georgia will finally meet in the Orange Bowl Friday night after nearly a month of buildup.

Michigan football is hoping to continue its winning streak and its dream season. The Wolverines ended the season with wins over Ohio State and then Iowa in the Big Ten championship game in order to reach the playoff.

Georgia, on the other hand, went undefeated in the regular season and looked like one of the best teams ever before being humbled by Alabama in the SEC title game.

Yet, the Dawgs are still as talented as any team in the country and they will be motivated to prove that they can win the big game, which is a narrative that’s starting to follow Kirby Smart.

Either way, it should be an epic showdown in the 2021 Orange Bowl, and here are five predictions for Michigan football and Georgia.

It will be close

Oftentimes, College Football Playoff games end up being blowouts. The extra time off seems to favor the better teams and generally, there haven’t been a ton of competitive playoff games.

Michigan football and Georgia should change that. The Bulldogs played probably the most exciting semifinal game ever when it beat Oklahoma in overtime in the Rose Bowl and this could be that kind of game.

Both teams have stellar defenses, steady quarterbacks, and solid running games which they aren’t afraid to rely on. I think this game will have an NFL feel in terms of tempo and the way the clock rolls and whichever team wins, will do so by one score or less.
