Potential decommitments

Well, unfortunately, we have to briefly talk about this. I don’t really want to, but we have to. As with every team in college football and recruiting, you win some battles, and you lose some battles.

Hopefully, Michigan doesn’t suffer any decommits tomorrow, but in the craziness of recruiting, anything is possible, and it wouldn’t absolutely shock me if one or two guys flipped away from the Wolverines.

Now, I’m not predicting anything to happen, but there are a few names just on flip watch that you need to pay attention to for tomorrow. First of all, (and the most likely to decommit) is Kevonte Henry.

Henry is from the West Coast, California to be exact, and one of the biggest reasons why he committed to Michigan in the first place was his connection to former Michigan Director of Player Personnel Courtney Morgan.

Morgan has strong times to the West Coast, as he is from that area, and has had an impact (even if minimal) on four recruits from California committing to Michigan in the ’22 class.

Again, I’m not saying this is for certain, but it is just something to monitor.

Lastly, another potential flip is Kody Jones. While there haven’t been really any rumblings about him, he’s still taken visits to SEC country in the last few weeks to places like Tennessee, among other SEC schools.

Again, no need to panic, but just something to monitor.

Oh yeah also, if you are curious about some of the 2023 and 2024 recruits, and what progress Michigan football is making with them, read this article here.
