CJ Carr — Three picks for Michigan football

While Michigan football hosted some other visitors over the weekend who could commit this week in Darrius Clemons and Deone Walker, U-M hasn’t made any crystal ball movement with either of those targets at this point.

Yet, following the Wolverines victory over Ohio State and their run to the Big Ten championship, Michigan did get a couple of significant crystal ball projections — for CJ Carr.

Carr is currently part of the 2024 recruiting class, so we are looking a couple of cycles ahead, but you can never recruit quarterbacks too early.

And despite the fact that CJ Carr is Lloyd Carr’s grandson, he has also gotten plenty of interest from other schools in the area, especially Notre Dame.

But with the rise of Michigan this season, especially at the quarterback position, Michigan seems to have solidified its position and now has three crystal ball projections with a confidence level of six on a scale of 1-10.

Carr is ranked 99th overall in the 2024 recruiting class and while Dante Moore is the top overall priority for 2023, it would be great to stack classes with elite QBs.

Michigan has also received at least one expert projection for a slew of 2023 recruits: Dylan Senda, an in-state offensive lineman, Trey Wilson, a 2023 D-lineman, Sam Pendleton, another 2023 offensive lineman, and 2023 athlete Jyaire Hill.  Stay tuned.
