Caleb Houstan will hit 20 too

The key for Caleb Houstan was always finding his confidence and he’s started to do that. Houstan is averaging 13 points and seven rebounds in the last three games. He has also made eight of his last 14 3-point attempts.

Now, he’s not going to continue to make 3’s at a 57-some percent clip but Houstan still looks like a guy who can be in the low 40s.

That’s what Michigan desperately needs from him and now that he’s shooting the ball well, teams are closing out harder, which is allowing him to attack the basket more.

Nebraska doesn’t do a great job of defending the 3-point shot. It allows 28 per game and nearly 10 makes.

The Huskers are solid defending the paint but there only two players at 6-foot-10 or taller are freshmen, so Dickinson will take a lot of resources to stop and if he’s shooting well, it won’t happen.

That will be the focal point early and that should open some stuff up for Houstan, who has his first 20-point game as a Wolverine.

Odds and Prediction

Michigan is a six-point favorite going into tonight’s game according to WynnBet. The over/under is 140 and I’m predicting Michigan basketball to win 75-63.
