The Michigan Wolverines followed through with their preseason promise of “beating Ohio State or die trying”. Now, they have an opportunity to do something they haven’t done since 2004.

The only team standing in their way? The Iowa Hawkeyes.

Despite somewhat lucking their way into this game due to an upset road loss by Wisconsin at the hands of the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the Hawkeyes are nonetheless a formidable opponent. While they might be overmatched in this game from a talent perspective, don’t overlook them.

They’re called the dream killers of the Big Ten for a reason.

In the last five seasons, the Iowa Hawkeyes have played spoiler to three top-10 teams. Of course, Michigan football fans remember the 2016 game which derailed playoff hopes then as well.
