Michigan Football: 3 overreactions from Ohio State win
By Nick Popio
3. This loss will be the downfall of the OSU dynasty
No one can predict the future, but this certainly falls in the category of being an overreaction. This is new territory for them because they haven’t lost to anyone in the Big Ten for as long as Ryan Day has been head boss there.
Now they’ll have to pick themselves up and try to piece together the puzzle to get back to where Michigan is currently standing.
There’s no question that the Buckeyes will be loaded again next year with a top recruiting class and many returnees from the current roster bound to come back for another shot at beating Michigan.
It will be mighty intriguing to see how this rivalry evolves now with the maize and blue trending towards that enviable spot that Ohio State has been in for far too long.
On the other side of the table, Michigan is on the precipice of something that they could only dream about, until this weekend.
The Wolverines can win their first Big Ten title in 17 years and earn the right to play for a national championship. That’s something that, myself included, never thought would happen after a 2-4 covid campaign.
