Looking back at Michigan football’s win over Ohio State one last time as we hand out grades for the Wolverines 42-27 victory.

It’s been a fun couple of days hasn’t it, Michigan football fans?

Yes, the win by the Wolverines over the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday got the monkey off the back of Michigan football and its fans.

But as Jim Harbaugh said, “This is just the beginning.”

The Wolverines have more work to do on Saturday as they try to win their first Big Ten championship since 2004 and clinch their first-ever trip to the College Football Playoff.

But before we turn our attention to Indy and Iowa, here is one final breakdown of Michigan football’s win over Ohio State as we hand out grades for the win.

Offense: A++

The offense was so good against Ohio State that an A-plus wasn’t good enough. Not only did the Wolverines run for 297 yards and six rushing touchdowns, but they also racked up 487 yards of total offense and were a perfect 6-for-6 in the red zone.

I love Jake Moody, but man, it was nice to see him just kicking extra points. The Wolverines dominated in the trenches and the running backs were picking up four yards per attempt before being touched.

That’s how dominant the offensive line was. The play of those five guys was so inspiring John Madden sent a text to Jim Harbaugh, telling him how impressed he was.

Zak Zinter dominated. He looked like a first-round pick Saturday. Andrew Vastardis also had the game of his life. It was wonderful to see the former walk-on kill it, as he has all season. He worked and worked and turned himself into a player that’s going to get a shot in the NFL.

Ryan Hayes was great, so was Andrew Stueber and also Trevor Keegan — another dude with an NFL future in my opinion. Honestly, all five guys are NFL caliber and they proved it Saturday.

Outside of one pass, Cade McNamara was everything Michigan football fans could have wanted. His dart to Cornelius Johnson on the second touchdown drive was one of the biggest plays of the game and even J.J. McCarthy made one of the best throws of all three QBs when he came in.

Blake Corum ripped off a big run; A.J. Henning made multiple big plays, as did Roman Wilson and Donovan Edwards. All hands were on deck and it was a masterpiece called by Josh Gattis.
