5 things we learned in Michigan Football’s win over Maryland
Michigan football notched its 10th win of the season on Saturday against Maryland and here are five things we learned about the Wolverines.
By the time Michigan football kicked off its game against Maryland, the Wolverines already controlled their own destiny again in the Big Ten East.
And on their way to their 10th win, the Wolverines looked like a title contender, and next week, in the biggest game of them all — The Game — Michigan will play for the Big Ten East title against Ohio State.
The Buckeyes and Wolverines are both 10-1. Each will team will be ranked in the top five of the playoff rankings and the winner will be in the driver’s seat to earn a bid.
For U-M, all that is secondary. The task is beating Ohio State and after a 41-point beatdown of Maryland, Michigan football has earned the right to play for a championship.
It wasn’t something I or anyone else predicted at the start of the season. So tip of the cap to Jim Harbaugh and the boys because this run has been stellar.
On Saturday, the fun continued.
Michigan had two touchdowns go for more than 70 yards and also scored on defense, as well as special teams, giving the Wolverines a score in each phase of the game.
Both quarterbacks tossed touchdown passes and Hassan Haskins was Hassan Haskins. He didn’t reach 100 yards but scored twice and hit 1,000 yards for the season.
It was a great day to be a Wolverine and here’s what we learned from the win over Maryland.
