Coaching: A-

It’s hard to find any coaching errors here. You wish the first take punt wouldn’t have been converted by Penn State but Michigan was prepared. It just didn’t make a play.

The Wolverines need to get better on fourth down, but coach Mike Macdonald drew up pressures that helped U-M get stops on consecutive possessions in the fourth quarter — when it mattered.

And while fans may not like all the runs — that’s who this team is. Hassan Haskins is the best player on the offense and I’d be more than happy to see him get 30-some touches in each of the next two weeks too.

The coaching staff got the players to believe and it showed in the last few minutes.

Special teams: B+

Not stopping the first fake punt was made up for a little bit when a fake field goal attempt was snuffed out.

There was hardly any return yardage and punter Brad Robbins did a great job on more than one occasion of flipping the field with a booming punt.

There was also a time or two where the execution, both on punt coverage downing the ball and punt return, could have been better.

All in all, the special teams were a strength as they have been all season.
