Michigan Basketball: 3 things to watch vs Prairie View A&M
Michigan takes on winless Prairie View A&M Panthers Saturday night at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Michigan basketball faces lesser foe Prairie View A&M Panthers tomorrow in what should be nothing more than a tune-up game for the Michigan Wolverines. The Panthers dropped to 0-2 last night against the San Fransisco Dons 92-76.
There are certain things that we need to look out for regarding this game. On paper, this game may look like a mismatch in favor of the Wolverines. You’d be correct about that assumption, but what that means is we’re going to see less playing time from starters and more playing time from unproven players.
1. Can Terrance Williams II keep up his production level?
Against Buffalo, we saw a different look from Terrance Williams that we had not previously seen. He was fast, he was knocking down shots at a consistent rate and he looked more polished as a defender.
Against a very good Buffalo defense, Terrance Williams came off the bench dropping 15 points shooting 5/7 from the field. Although Terrance played starter minutes, he was not careless and only took shots that he knew he could hit.
Terrance was also efficient from the line. He went 3/5 which does not sound too great at first glance, but when you look at other productive players at the line against Buffalo you will quickly see how productive that really was against Buffalo.
Expect Terrance Williams to get just as many minutes against Prairie View A&M, maybe even more.
