Michigan Basketball: 3 things we learned in Wolverines win vs Buffalo
3. It’s Hunter Dickinson’s world and we’re just living in it
Hunter Dickinson had by far the best performance last night against Buffalo. The big man put up an astonishing 27 points and 6 boards in 32 minutes. Tonight, Hunter proved that last season was not just a fluke. Hunter’s that guy and will continue to be that guy all season.
Defensively, Hunter looked immensely improved. He had to go up against one of the most underrated players in college basketball Josh Mballa and held him under his 2020 average of 15 points and 11 boards. As highlighted yesterday it proved to be a monumental factor to keep Mballa at bay and not let him go off.
I certainly expect Hunter Dickinson to continue at the rate he is going. He’s one of the best big men in college basketball and he’s only a sophomore. There is a look of potential and upside for Hunter Dickinson that has not even been touched yet.
He will get better every game like he did last season and is going to continue to be a huge problem for opposing teams.
