Michigan’s special players…Are special

Michigan football has the No. 2 scoring defense in the nation and there are a lot of reasons for it. Two of the biggest: Aidan Hutchinson and Daxton Hill.

Those are elite players who are each going to be first-round draft picks and so far this season, they have played like it.

Hill was a beast in the two wins at Wisconsin and Nebraska. He gave up a big play down the field against the Badgers but responded with a sack and interception in the second half. He also picked off a pass against Nebraska and his tackling has been flawless.

Hutchinson is as good an edge rusher as there is — even when he’s getting held — and he will have a big game Saturday. I’m sure the Spartans are going to double and triple-team him, but I don’t think it will matter.

Hutchinson is so motivated for this game and I just believe he will do something special — Daxton Hill too. The Wolverines have tons of other talented defenders too and they will be needed but their big dogs are going to eat on Saturday.
