The kickoff between Michigan football and Northwestern is just a few hours away and here’s all the key info such as injuries and how to watch.

Michigan football is back and the Wolverines will take the field Saturday against Northwestern fresh off a bye week.

The sixth-ranked Wolverines bring their 6-0 record into the Big House Saturday and put it on the line against Northwestern, a team that’s 1-2 in the Big Ten and 3-3 overall.

Northwestern did notch a win last week over Rutgers by a score of 21-7, so the Wildcats are improving and Michigan football can’t afford to look ahead to next week.

Michigan should have gotten a chance to get healthy during the bye week, although Jim Harbaugh didn’t say much on injuries other than that guys could return this weekend.

There are some that will probably be held out for Michigan State if there are any questions, although it’s always nice to get a game under your belt to knock the rust off.

Either way, Michigan football is back, and here’s all the key info heading into the game.

Michigan football vs Northwestern Injury report

Two big names to watch for Michigan are that of Zak Zinter and Roman Wilson. Wilson hasn’t played since the Wisconsin game and Harbaugh said he could return this week, which is exactly what he said about Zinter.

Some other offensive linemen have been banged up too, so we’ll see what the starting five looks like but it would be good to see Zinter and Wilson back for the Wolverines.

Michigan football vs Northwestern Odds and Betting Pick Week 8

We broke down this matchup with our five predictions, as well as keys to beating Northwestern and three reasons Michigan football will do it.

In terms of the spread, it’s now 23.5 points according to WynnBET’s Week 8 college football odds. The over/under is set at 51 points and the money line for Michigan is -2000, while it’s +1100 for Northwestern.

Northwestern has really struggled to stop the run this season and in addition to being last in the Big Ten in rushing defense, the Wildcats allow 5.5 yards per attempt.

Not only that, but Michigan football is the best running team in the Big Ten. The Wolverines have two backs with a shot at hitting 1,000 yards this season and on Saturday, the run defense won’t stand up for four quarters as the Wolverines take the win 34-10.
