Donovan Peoples-Jones and a bunch of other Michigan football players are making an impact in the NFL on Sunday.ย

Going back to when he was picked in the sixth round of the NFL draft, weโ€™ve long said that former Michigan football player Donovan Peoples-Jones was a steal and he looks like it on Sunday.

After a pretty solid rookie campaign that included 14 receptions for 304 yards as well as a couple of touchdowns, Peoples-Jones, the former No. 1 wide receiver in his recruiting class, scored two touchdowns in the first half for Cleveland against Arizona.

His first touchdown came from 11 yards out and the former Michigan football standout had to earn his way in the end zone and trucked a Cardinals defender.

Then, later in the first half, Peoples-Jones made an incredible catch, hauling in a 57-yard Hail Mary from Baker Mayfield to end the half.

The Browns are still trailing but itโ€™s great to see Peoples-Jones balling out in the league โ€” we always knew he had immense talent.

And in addition to his first multi-touchdown game, the former Wolverines hit 100 yards for the first time in his young NFL career for Cleveland, catching four passes for 102 yards and thatโ€™s just through three quarters.

Other former Wolverines shine in NFL too

Chris Evans, a rookie running back for the Bengals, was known for making explosive plays during his time with the Wolverines. He was also a really good receiver and he has flashed that skill for the Bengals and caught a touchdown pass against Detroit on Sunday.

Evans touchdown came on a 24-yard pass and he finished the 34-11 win for the Bengals with 67 total yards, including 49 yards on three receptions and 18 on the ground on four attempts.

Of course, Tom Brady had a pretty good week too, throwing for 297 yards and two touchdowns in the Bucs win on Thursday night, but it was really great seeing Evans and Peoples-Jones get into the end zone on the same day.
