The stars are shining

One of the things that has me most excited about this Michigan football team, is the way the stars are standing out.

Aidan Hutchinson was a force all game long and even though the final stats say he had just 0.5 sacks, he was a force to be reckoned with. So was Daxton Hill, who is now looking like the five-star recruit Michigan football signed a couple of years back.

His blitz and hit on Mertz changed the game. But he also came up with a huge pass breakup that forced a fourth down and came up with the interception, which helped seal the deal.

Both Hutchinson and Hill looked like first-round picks and my expectation is that you will hear both names called in the first 32 picks this April or May.

Don Brown was the worst possible thing to happen to Daxton Hill but conversely, Macdonald is the best. He’s using Hill and Hutchinson properly and the results speak for themselves.

Plus other stars have emerged. Josh Ross is an NFL-caliber linebacker and was a man amongst boys on Saturday. He was huge in the run defense. Mike Morris was too and David Ojabo is becoming a force on the edge.

Not only did he finished with 2.5 sacks, but he also forced a fumble Michigan football recovered for the second straight week in the fourth quarter. Chris Hinton and Mazi Smith dominated in the middle of the defense too.

it was impressive but that’s the result you can expect when the cream rises to the top.
