Michigan Football: 3 thoughts on commitment of Mason Graham
Far from done
Momentum is a very real thing on the recruiting trail and earlier this summer, it was sort of dead for the Wolverines. Michigan missed on a number of top targets and others were waiting to see the product on the field before making a decision.
In the end, the fact that a bunch of recruits waited and took fall visits proved to be a good thing. Graham might be the first one to flip, but Amorion Walker is now projected to flip from Notre Dame, while others such as Josh Conerly Jr., Grant, Damani Dent, and Joshua Josephs have all been projected to the Wolverines in just the last week, many in the last two days.
That doesn’t even mention the fact that Michigan feels like a more serious contender with Domani Jackson now that Clay Helton has been fired and the Wolverines are still in the mix with Walter Nolen, as well as trending with multiple picks for Conerly, the five-star offensive tackle.
EJ Holland reported that Grant, the massive defensive tackle is going to make a decision soon and the Wolverines are trending. So more good news should be on the way but the addition of Graham is a very good start.
