Michigan Football: 5 predictions for Wolverines vs Western Michigan
Sack fest
If you just look at the stats from last season, you might not think much of the Wolverines’ pass rush. Michigan struggled to get pressure last season and Western Michigan, on the other hand, was one of the better teams at protecting the quarterback, allowing just over a sack per game.
The Wolverines notched just nine sacks last season in six games and that’s just not going to cut it this year. But Macdonald knows how to get pressure from all of his time with Baltimore and I expect him to be creative as far as getting players home with blitzes.
One of the best moves will simply be letting Aidan Hutchinson move around and make plays all over the field. Lining him up at the same spot over and over again doesn’t make sense.
He’s one of the best pass rushers in the country and he’ll get to the quarterback on Saturday. In all, Michigan football will get home a few times. My prediction is four but the pass rush will do well.
