No. 4: 5-star  OT Josh Conerly

This feels like one of those recruitments that is going to take a while and for Michigan football, that actually might not be a bad thing.

Josh Conerly Jr. is one of the best offensive lineman in the entire 2022 recruiting class and the Rainer, Washington prospect is 20th overall according to the 247 sports composite rankings, as well as the third-best offensive tackle.

The good news for the Wolverines is that they have secured a visit from the five-star tackle this fall. He’s expected to visit for the Washington game and over the summer, he also took in the Big House BBQ.

He was formerly committed to Washington and the Huskies are listed as “warm” on his 247 sports profile along with the Wolverines, Alabama, USC, Texas, Oklahoma, and Oregon, although others are pushing hard for him too.

Getting him on campus is huge for the Wolverines but they aren’t going to win his commitment with the one visit. They will need to wow him this fall and more importantly, Michigan needs to build some momentum on the field, which leads to momentum on the recruiting trail.
