Michigan Football: Final depth chart predictions before fall camp
O-line Starters: Ryan Hayes, Trevor Keegan, Zak Zinter, Andrew Stueber, Karsen Barnhart; Backups: Trente Jones, Andrew Vastardis, Chuck Filiaga
Offensive coordinator Josh Gattis feels good about the depth on the offensive line heading into the season but the question is who will start?
Harbaugh has basically said that Hayes, Stueber, and Zinter will be starting this season. That much is clear. But where will Zinter play and who will join those three on the starting offensive line?
Hayes has been solid at left tackle and while he needs to improve, he appears to have taken a step forward this season, and Barnhart starting on the opposite side seems like the best option.
Stueber can play right tackle or guard, but he always seemed better suited to play on the inside to me and although Andrew Vastardis is a fine backup, Michigan should replace him if possible, which is why I see Zinter starting at center.
Trente Jones is another guy that’s coming on and he could be in the mix, as well as some other young guys but the starting five of Hayes, Keegan, Zinter, Stueber, and Barnhart feels like the best five to me.
