It’s been a good week for Michigan football on the recruiting trail and here’s a prediction for the rest of the Wolverines 2022 recruiting class.

Michigan football is off to a slow with recruiting for the 2022 class. According to 247 sports teams rankings, the Wolverines have the No. 4 class in the Big Ten while having the eighth-ranked ranked class in the country.

Five-star Will Johnson leads the class and is trying to get some of these recruits to come to Michigan football next fall.

Michigan is coming off of “Victors Weekend” which included top targets such as DL Walter Nolen, DB D’Arco Perkins-McAllister, EDGE Justice Finkley, EDGE Mario Eugenio, EDGE Joseph Adedire.

Nolen is by far one of the most highly ranked targets at the defensive line position since 2016 when Michigan football landed the top player in the nation Rashan Gary.

Nolen (6’4 300) has a great motor and can get quickly in the backfield with his explosiveness off the ball. He’s very good with his hands and shedding blocks and disrupting plays. I honestly am very confident in landing Nolen after his official visit to Ann Arbor.

This would be a huge get with this also being defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald’s first recruiting class and it would be a big way to close it out.

With that in mind, here are some key predictions for the rest of Michigan football’s 2022 class:

Other thoughts on 2022

One player that I’m 50/50 on is five-star safety Keon Sabb who also was fresh off his official visit in Ann Arbor earlier this week. He doesn’t have Michigan in his top 6 but recently told TMI Sam Webb ‘that Michigan is in the swing of things” Michigan also battling Clemson, Texas A&M, Oregon, Penn State, Georgia, and LSU.

This could be a loaded recruiting class and a surprise to many after how the 2020 season went with Michigan football winning just two games in a COVID crazy season.

But, we still have a long ways away from National Signing Day so anything can happen.
