Michigan football extended a new scholarship offer in the 2022 recruiting class on Wednesday and some crystal ball predictions followed soon after.

The Michigan football program has been searching for a quarterback in the 2022 recruiting class and the Wolverines have finally found one.

And it’s a four-star recruit in the name of Jayden Denegal, another California signal-caller. Michigan football has been pursuing guys like Nate Johnson and Justyn Martin in California, but still, the Wolverines were without a commitment.

Michigan started trending with crystal ball picks soon after his offer but in an update, he committed to the Wolverines just a few minutes ago.

Conner Harrell, another 2022 quarterback, visited over the weekend. He then announced he would make his decision known next week. Some thought it could be good news for the Wolverines, but then he was projected by a top 247 sports expert to North Carolina.

It just so happened that Denegal, who is out of Apple Valley, California, was on campus for an unofficial visit. The four-star passer threw for the Wolverines and soon after, he was offered a scholarship.

At the start of the day, Denegal had a crystal ball projection to Michigan State. But soon after U-M offered, that pick was flipped by an MSU insider to Michigan. It went along with four other crystal ball projections that have Denegal going to U-M.

Here’s what 247 sports wrote about Denegal and his workout Wednesday for Michigan football:

"“Denegal threw it well enough to earn an offer while on campus and almost immediately started trending towards the Wolverines with five predictions in less than an hour’s time. The Apple Valley (CA) native also has offers from Michigan State, Arkansas, Auburn and Utah among others. 247Sports currently has him ranked 19th overall at the quarterback position for the 2022 cycle.”"

Landing Denegal is huge for the Wolverines who have been in search of their quarterback in this class. He’s 19th among quarterbacks according to the 247 sports composite rankings, as well as the 267th recruit overall in 2022.

Another 2022 recruit deciding soon

Three-star offensive tackle Alessandro Lorenzetti also said he will be making his decision soon according to what he posted on Twitter.

Lorenzetti, a 6-foot-6 prospect from Windsor, Connecticut, recently visited Ann Arbor and has been trending with crystal ball projections to Michigan football.

There are now eight predictions for the rising 285-pounder to go to U-M, including picks from Michigan State and Penn State insiders, which all bodes well for the Wolverines.
