Michigan football held its pro day on Friday and here are three Wolverines who helped their NFL draft stock with a solid showing.

While March Madness has consumed the Wolverines fan base, Michigan football had a number of former players back on campus for its Pro Day last Friday.

During the Jim Harbaugh era, Michigan football has sent a consistent number of players to the NFL and the 2021 NFL draft could see a number of early-round selections.

For a number of Wolverines, it was an important day and a few guys were able to improve their stock with the draft fast approaching and here are players who helped themselves the most.

Kwity Paye

There’s no doubt that Paye is going to be the first Michigan football player picked in the 2021 NFL draft and he cemented that on Friday with a 4.52 time in the 40-yard dash.

Paye checked in at 6-foot-2, 262 pounds, and his 40 time, plus what he’s put on film is going to make him a solid top-10 candidate.

Paye was a productive player while at Michigan but he didn’t do as much as he could have in part because of the way he was used.

Sort of like Rashan Gary, Michigan underutilized Paye and he’s going to be a better player at the next level than he was for the Wolverines. He can play in a 3-4 or a 4-3. He’s stout against the run and electrifying on the edge.

Some pass-rush needy team will be very happy and after his showing on Friday, it’s hard to see Paye lasting long on draft day.
