Hot-shooting must continue

It was obvious that Michigan basketball needed Chaundee Brown to get going and he did just that against LSU, scoring a season-high 21 points.

Well, he needs to do that against Florida State too. Not score 21 points necessarily, but he can’t have zero like he had against Texas Southern or be a non-factor offensively as he was against Ohio State in the Big Ten semifinals.

Brown is probably Michigan’s best catch-and-shoot 3-point guy (with Livers out). He made a couple of daggers against LSU, including one big one down the stretch, but he also attacked the bucket. I’d like to see him do more of that.

The other guy who needs to keep the hot streak going is Eli Brooks, who is an insane 14-for-27 from deep in Michigan’s four postseason games.

As you can see in the quote above, Brooks’ confidence is at an all-time high, and part of that is Juwan Howard and the staff having faith in him.

Brooks has the green light now. Coming out of high school, he was an electrifying scorer, so it’s not that surprising. Hopefully, he can keep it up though, because the Wolverines need the 3-point shooting from Brown and Brooks to advance.
