Michigan Basketball: 5 Bold predictions for Wolverines in March Madness
Transfers get their shining moment
Mike Smith and Brown have made huge impacts this season for Michigan basketball. Both players have been essential and with Livers out, they will need to play even bigger roles if the Wolverines want to go on any kind of deep run.
This is the first time either player is going to the NCAA Tournament but we’ve seen them step up in other big spots this year, such as Smith breaking the Big Ten tournament record for assists in a win over Maryland last Friday.
Brown has also been waiting for a chance to play in March and he will be determined to take advantage of that and with Livers sidelined, he should actually get more minutes too.
The Wolverines are going to need his defense and 3-point shooting especially to get to the Final Four and even to get to the second week of the tournament.
Brown and Smith haven’t been perfect, but they will deliver, at least enough during the first two rounds to reach another Sweet 16, which would be the first for each player.
