Michigan football could be getting more commitments soon in the class of 2022 and here are three recruits who could be the next to commit to the Wolverines.

As it stands, Michigan football has gotten its 2022 recruiting class off to a solid start. The Wolverines have seven commitments and one five-star already in the fold.

According to the 247 sports team rankings for the class, Michigan football is No. 11 nationally and the Wolverines have four players ranked as four-star recruits or better.

Will Johnson, the five-star corner, was the biggest get for Michigan thus far, and have to wonder when the next commitment will be?

2022 recruits are making decisions even earlier than normal with the lack of scholarships available. More players are returning for an extra year, so it’s believed that recruiting class will have fewer spots to offer.

On both sides of the ball, Michigan is in a solid position with a number of top targets, but here are three I could see being the next to commit to the Wolverines.

3-star cornerback Myles Pollard

Michigan’s cornerbacks coach and co-defensive coordinator Maurice Linguist has already proven he can close on the recruiting trail and he’s trying to do it again with Myles Pollard, a four-star cornerback recruit out of Tennessee.

Pollard is ranked as a three-star recruit in the 247 sports composite rankings, but he’s going to rise. He’s 6-foot-2, 185 pounds and played at the same school as 2021 signee Junior Colson.

Beyond those things, EJ Holland of Rivals recently reported that Pollard was going to take a visit to Michigan this month, on a self-guided tour, and that has usually led to commitments soon after.

It’s not a guarantee, but all the expert picks are trending with Michigan right now at Rivals and 247 sports and it wouldn’t be shocking to see Pollard pledge before too long.
