Michigan basketball can wrap up the Big Ten championship tonight with a win over Illinois and here are three predictions the Wolverines and Fighting Illini.

On Tuesday night, Michigan basketball takes the floor at the Crisler Center with the chance to clinch its first Big Ten championship against 2014.

The opponent will be none other than Illinois, which has continuously complained about Michigan’s schedule (for some reason). Their head coach Brad Underwood feels his team is so slighted (in his alternate reality) that he says Big Ten championships don’t matter.

Sure, Brad. We know you’d be singing the same tune if Illinois had a chance to clinch tonight and actually, with a win, the Fighting Illini will keep their title hopes alive.

At any rate, Illinois comes into the game with Michigan basketball projected by some as a No. 1 seed and a win in Ann Arbor could go a long way towards solidifying that position.

Ayo Dosunmu doesn’t look like he will go for Illinois, although there hasn’t been anything officially announced. The talented guard is Illinois’ leading scorer and hit a game-winning jumper to beat Michigan last year when the two teams met in Ann Arbor.

Tonight, though, will feel like a different game for both teams, and here are three predictions for the Wolverines and Illini as the Wolverines attempt to clinch their first Big Ten championship under Juwan Howard.

Of course, we start with the big guys.
