Michigan basketball will try to move closer to a Big Ten title on Thursday as it hosts Iowa. Here’s how to watch and stream plus key storylines.

The Michigan basketball team will start a stretch of five games in 10 days Thursday night as the Wolverines will host Iowa for the first time this season.

It will be the second consecutive game against a top-10 opponent for the Wolverines, who knocked off No. 4 Ohio State in Columbus last Sunday.

In terms of the Big Ten race, this game doesn’t have the meaning some thought it would maybe a month ago or so as the Hawkeyes are essentially out of the Big Ten race.

At this point, it’s essentially down to Michigan basketball and Illinois. But Michigan’s magic number to clinch dropped down to three with the loss by Illinois to Michigan State Tuesday.

Now, Michigan needs to win just three out of its last five games to win the regular-season title and only two games if it beats Illinois and that’s assuming the Illini win out.

This game against Iowa will have important NCAA tournament implications as both teams try to build their resumes. Michigan is a solid No. 1 seed right now but could add to its resume even more, while Iowa could add a huge win on the road.

Of course, it will be fun to watch Michigan freshman Hunter Dickinson take on Iowa center Luka Garza. Those are two of the best big men in the country and the conference.

We’ll have more on the matchup tomorrow and our three predictions, yet here are three keys to a Michigan victory and here’s the key info for the game Thursday night:
