Just about everything is going right for Michigan basketball right now and the Wolverines are now trending with four-star forward Gregg Glenn in 2022.

The Michigan basketball program is on a roll right now and the Wolverines are using some of that momentum from their on-court success in recruiting.

There are a number of key targets in the 2022 class, such as Juwan Howard’s son Jett Howard. Dug McDaniel is another name to watch for the Wolverines. But the first recruit to commit in the class could actually be four-star forward Gregg Glenn.

Most still expect Jett Howard to wind up with the Wolverines. Jace Howard is already playing for Michigan basketball and it’d be a mild shock if Jett didn’t join them in Ann Arbor.

Jett actually has six crystal ball predictions already to Michigan and there’s starting to be a strong feeling that Glenn is a Michigan lean too, as he picked up a pair of crystal ball picks to U-M on Tuesday, the first coming from Dushawn London, a national recruiting analyst for 247 sports.

Here’s what he wrote about his pick, which he put in with a confidence level of eight on a scale of 1-10.

"“With his heavy recruitment, I believe that Michigan is in the best position to land four-star forward Gregg Glenn. He has ties to Jett Howard and sees coach Howard and Michigan as a family. While it’s still very early I have a confidence level score of 8 for Michigan to land Glenn.”"

Josh Henschke of The Michigan Insider followed it up with his own prediction with a confidence level of six. For the record, London is 8-for-8 on picks so far at 247 sports.

In terms of Glenn, he would make a lot of sense for Michigan. He’s listed at 6-foot-7, 215 pounds, and could play both the three and the four.

According to the 247 sports composite rankings, Glenn is ranked 77th overall, but he’s been climbing in the Rivals‘ rankings and is 52nd overall, as well as 7th among power forwards.

Glenn plays for Christian Calvery and has averaged 14 points or more in each of the past three high school seasons including this one. He’s not a stellar 3-point shooter or anything but he shoots a high percentage from the field and is a productive rebounder.

Glenn is the kind of player who could develop into an NBA talent and I think Howard’s reputation for developing those kinds of players will help the Wolverines even more than the connection to his two sons.

As with Jett Howard, there’s nothing to indicate a decision is coming soon, but when it does, Michigan is likely to be the landing spot for versatile forward.
