Michigan basketball bounced back from its first loss of the season and destroyed the Maryland Terrapins on Tuesday night with an 87-63 win.

Michigan basketball fans can start to relax a bit. It appears that Michigan’s blowout loss to Minnesota this past weekend was just an anomaly and not a trend. The Wolverines took it to Maryland and dominated this game from start to finish.

Maryland had no answer on defense as Michigan basketball continues to find open look after open look seemingly every game. The Wolverines were led by Isaiah Livers who scored a team high 20 points and knocked down four triples.

Michigan was also sparked by three deep balls from Mike Smith that really got the offense going early on. One thing that continues to impress me about this team is that they can overcome a bad game by one of their best players and still come away with a win. So many guys can hurt the opponent on this team and so many guys continue to step up.

That was evident once again in this game. Michigan’s leading scorer and rebounder, Hunter Dickinson, was held to just three points and six rebounds in only 21 minutes of action. How many other teams in the country can have their best player held to three points and still come away with a 24-point conference win?

Michigan basketball continues to prove why its one of the most dangerous teams in the country and will be a threat to win the National Championship in April.

Here are the player grades for Michigan’s dominate win over Maryland starting with the guards.
