Michigan basketball returns home on Tuesday night looking to sweep the season series against Maryland. The Wolverines are looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season.

This Michigan basketball team is in an unfamiliar situation as it heads into another tough Big Ten matchup against Maryland. The Wolverines are coming off a blowout loss against Minnesota and the health of starting guard Eli Brooks is still unknown.

The Wolverines really struggled on Saturday against the Golden Gophers. Hunter Dickinson never got it going and the defensive pressure from Minnesota forced 20 Michigan turnovers. Minnesota ran away in the second half and handed Michigan a 75-57 loss.

Michigan basketball will be looking to bounce back against a Maryland team that it beat on the road just a couple weeks ago. In that game, the Terrapins had no answer for Hunter Dickinson. The freshman finished with 26 points on 10-11 shooting.

The Wolverines won the first matchup despite Maryland knocking down 13 threes and shooting 59.1% from deep. The red hot shooting from Maryland didn’t bother Michigan because they had one of the best shooting games of the season themselves. The Wolverines finished 30-51 from the field and got open looks all night long.
