Michigan basketball is on a roll right and are proving to be one of college basketball’s best teams. The future also looks bright as they have the top ranked 2021 recruiting class in the country. But who could potentially be joining their 2022 class?

It feels a bit silly to be writing a recruiting piece a couple days after Michigan basketball dominated their third consecutive ranked opponent. But in college basketball, recruiting is as important to a team’s future success as anything else.

Michigan’s 2021 class could potentially be complete unless Juwan lands a big fish like Chet Holmgren. So attention has already shifted to the 2022 class. Michigan will be starting to fill that class and will have more momentum then any other team in the country.

Not only does Juwan Howard have the number one class in 2021 to build on, but the Wolverines are the hottest team in the country and are getting national recognition as a serious national championship contender.

Every question mark and criticism that Juwan Howard had coming into Michigan as a first year coach last season, that was completely fair. But it hasn’t taken him long to put all those worries to rest. Yes, Juwan Howard can recruit. Yes, Juwan Howard can be an elite X’s and O’s coach. And yes, Michigan basketball made the right hire.

After landing what is the currently the top ranked 2021 class, here are 4 recruits who could join Michigan’s 2022 class.
