Michigan basketball is set to take on the 9th ranked Wisconsin Badgers in a game that should be its toughest test so far this season.

Two of the best teams in the country will battle it out on Tuesday night in Ann Arbor. Michigan basketball welcomes the preseason Big Ten title favorites into town for what should be an excellent game between two very good basketball teams.

Michigan comes into this game as hot as any team in the country. The Wolverines are still unbeaten this season and are coming off two consecutive wins over ranked teams.

Wisconsin comes into this game in good form as well with wins in three out of their last four games including two ranked wins during that stretch. The Badgers currently sit in third place in the Big Ten and just one game behind the first place Wolverines.

This is a matchup between two teams that pride themselves on rebounding, defense, and fundamentals. One key matchup in this game will be how each team’s big men are able to defend the other team’s big. Wisconsin doesn’t have a guy that can likely slow down Hunter Dickinson but on the flip side, will Dickinson be able to stay with their sharp shooting perimeter big men?

Both teams have a chance to put a statement win on their resume and cement themselves as the Big Ten favorite going forward. This is the first of two matchups between Michigan basketball and Wisconsin this season. The second matchup is in Madison, WI on February 14th.

Here are three predictions that I am making for this huge Tuesday night matchup between these two top-10 teams.
