Michigan Basketball continues to climb up various rankings
By Max S.
Michigan basketball is still undefeated and the various rankings across college basketball are finally starting to give them the respect that they deserve.
Michigan basketball will take on the Wisconsin Badgers on Tuesday night in a matchup against two top-ten teams. Even though the Wolverines are one of the few remaining undefeated teams, it wasn’t until very recently that they started to rise up the rankings.
Here is where Michigan ranks in all of the various college basketball rankings:
AP Poll: 7th
KenPom: 7th
T-Rank (BartTorvik): 6th
NET: 4th
BPI: 12th
Michigan has cemented themselves as a consensus top-10 team up to this point, but they will have several chances in the coming weeks to boost their resume and pick up wins over good teams.

- 5. Iowa
- 7. Michigan
- 9. Wisconsin
- 14. Illinois
- 21. Ohio State
- 23. Minnesota
Not only were six Big Ten teams ranked, four others received votes in the AP Poll this week. Rutgers, Northwestern, Michigan State, and Indiana all received votes and are on the cusp of being ranked inside the top-25.
Conference play will be a bloodbath this year for all Big Ten teams and every game is a potential loss regardless of your opponent. Right now, Michigan continues to play the best basketball out of everyone in the conference and we’ll see if they are able to continue that great play and continue to rise up the rankings.
