Michigan Football: 3 ideal assistant coach hires if Jim Harbaugh returns
There are more reports that Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football will agree on an extension soon and if he does, here are three dream assistant coach hires.
There has been tons of chatter about Michigan football and Jim Harbaugh coming to an agreement on a new contract and Saturday, another outlet reported a deal was close.
This time it was Bruce Feldman who reported on Twitter that Harbaugh and the Wolverines were close to an agreement on a new deal through 2026.
This comes on the heels of a report by Chris Balas of The Wolverine (subscription required) Friday that something could be announced within a few days.
Feldman’s information further confirms that and is the first national reporter to really put out anything like that. The length of the deal is longer than previously reported. But getting something done is the most important thing.
Now, it’s time to fill out the rest of the staff, which is something Balas indicated could happen very soon too, especially now with the bowl season mostly over except for one game.
Since the dismissal of defensive coordinator Don Brown, there has been tons of talk about who would replace him, as well as what other additions could be made to the staff.
And now that it appears Harbaugh will be back with the Wolverines, it seems like a good chance to look at some of the hires Harbaugh could make in the coming days to help him turn this program around for good.
