Livers and Franz bounce back

I had a hunch that Livers was going to shoot the ball better than he did against Central Florida and he bounced back in a big way making 5-of-7 shots, including 3-of-4 from deep for 16 points. He also grabbed six rebounds and had two steals. It was just an impressive performance.

Yet, it was even better to see Franz Wagner start to get things going. During the first four games of the season, Wagner had only made one 3-point shot and reached double figures just once.

But against the Rockets, Wagner took eight shots and made four, including both of his attempts from beyond the arc and all four of his free throw opportunities.

He did a good job of attacking the basket and really he has done that all season. But it was great to see him shoot the ball well. Still, he feels like he’s being a little hesitant and at some point, he needs to trust himself and let it fly.
