Freshmen class is a hit

There were some high expectations for this class of incoming freshman but so far, I’d have to say those guys have exceeded those expectations, namely Williams and Dickinson.

Dickinson looks like he could be Big Ten Freshman of the Year and he probably will be as he starts to play more and and more. But Williams is going to be hard to keep off the floor too and both guys look like very good multi-year players in the Big Ten.

Dickinson might be someone who eventually leaves early after 2-3 years but Williams feels like someone who plays all four years and starts for three, sort of like Livers. He really feels like he will develop into that sort of player, although his shot will need some work.

Still, Michigan basketball has to be incredibly pleased with the returns on its freshman class right now as both players have shown they can be trusted in critical moments.

Couple that with two transfers in Smith and Brown who are playing at a high level and you have to feel really good about this roster heading into Big Ten play.
